Apprenticeship Scheme - Quadron is committed to the Apprenticeship Scheme developed in partnership with The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. We currently take on two apprentices each year for the contract, thus giving a complement of six at any one time.
Local Recruitment - These apprentices come from the local community to help with achieving local sustainability and retaining skills within the local area. In order to achieve this aim, Quadron contacts the local Careers Office and Senior Schools to ensure they are aware of the apprenticeship places on offer and thus are able to promote them to schools leavers and other young job seekers.
Taster Days - Each summer, Quadron hosts a taster day in Holland Park for potential apprenticeships in partnership with Connexions and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. The details of this taster day are communicated to all school leavers and young jobseekers under the age of nineteen through schools careers offices, local youth clubs, a newsletter and Connexions website and office. Youngsters are invited to apply to participate and usually all those who do so are able to attend the taster day.

Potential apprentices attend Taster Day in Holland Park, accompanied by MD Clive Ivil, centre and Contract Supervisor, Steve Redman, right.
The objective of the day is to provide hands on experience of working in parks and gardens with no commitment being made. The group is given a brief introduction to the Company and the work involved in a grounds maintenance contract. They are then divided into small teams to work alongside full time employees undertaking a variety of tasks. At the end of the day they are given a pack containing information about the job and an application form as well as a gift voucher and letter of thanks for participating.
