Green Heritage Sites are a specific accreditation within the Green Flag Award scheme that recognise best practice in the upkeep of historic sites.
Quadron took over the management of Hastings Borough Council's grounds maintenance contract in November 2005. In July 2006, Alexandra Park was given Green Heritage Site status for the first time.
It was also declared Best Park in the South East in the 2006 and 2007 Britain's Best Parks Competition. The park was reviewed on criteria including environment, access, maintenance and community involvement. The informal environment and the commitment to the highest standards of maintenance particularly impressed the judges.
