In Bloom Awards - Nurturing a Community Spirit

Striving together for In Bloom awards revitalises communities and improves local environments.

Quadron has worked with its Clients, local communities, businesses and tenant organisations to achieve increasing year on year success in these community awards. Several Quadron managers are also national In Bloom judges.

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea
  • London in Bloom: Gold again in 2011, a consistent score since 2007, with Category Winner (Small City Class) in 2010 and 2008; Silver Gilt in 2006 and 2005;
  • London in Bloom Gold 2011 for Holland Park, Little Wormwood Scrubs, Kensington Memorial Park and Cremorne; Silver Gilt for St Luke's Gardens and Westfield.
  • Gold Award and Overall Winner in the Cemeteries category for Gunnersbury Cemetery in 2011.
  • London in Bloom Gold 2010 for Holland Park; Silver Gilt for Westfield, Cremorne, St Luke's & Little Wormwood Scrubs.
  • London in Bloom Gold and Category Winner for the Floral Display Award 2010 & 2008.
  • Britain in Bloom Silver in 2008, Gold in 2007, Silver Gilt 2006 and Silver in 2005.

Councillor the Hon. Joanna Gardner, Mayor of the Royal Borough wrote to Barrie MacLaurin, Leisure Services Manager in 2008 saying, "Well done to your entire team and the contractors whose hard work paid off so handsomely".

The London Borough of Southwark
  • London in Bloom Gold 2010, Silver Gilt 2009, 2008 & 2007, Silver 2006 & 2005.
  • Third in the Biodiversity Award 2008.
  • Dulwich won Gold in the Parks & Gardens category in 2010 and was winner of the Urban Community Award 2008 and gained Silver Gilt in 2009.

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames

London in Bloom Silver again in 2011, a consistent performance since 2007, with judges commenting in 2007 that "the second year of a long term contract bodes well....a lot of new staff team members and some contractors have reinvigorated the enthusiasm within the Borough. Watch this space in future years".

The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham
  • 16 awards in London and Bloom 2011, including Silver Guilt for the Borough overall.
  • London in Bloom Silver Gilt and Overall Winners of Group B 2010 & Silver Gilt 2009 and Silver 2008: the Borough's best ever results and improving year on year.
  • Gold for Ravenscourt Park in the Large Park award 2010.
  • Silver Gilt for Wormwood Scrubs in the Countryside Park awards and third in the Commons award 2010

Mendip District Council
  • South West in Bloom Gold for Wells in 2008.
  • Silver Gilt for Glastonbury, Street, Shepton Mallet and Frome in 2008.
  • Frome also won three community awards at merit level in 2008.

Birmingham City Council
  • Gold and overall winner of the Heart of England in Bloom, 2011.
  • Moseley in Bloom: Heart of England In Bloom Gold for Moseley and a Certificate of Merit for the Meteoric Makeover Project, Best Urban Community in the region and nomination for the National Britain in Bloom competition 2010. 
Jenny Brewer from Moseley in Bloom thanked Quadron, saying "Thank you so much for your support and efforts on our behalf and the continuing hard work of your crews both for our judging day and going forward."
