The scheme is targeted at 18 to 24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training. Recruits have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in a wide range of horticultural and maintenance activities. The individuals are fully inducted and trained on all equipment before use.
After successfully completing a six month placement, Quadron have recruited Danny Giles as a Trainee Fitter. Danny has already attended a NPTC Level 2 training in Workshop Operations and Machinery maintenance and has gained a vast amount of experience in the short time he has had a full time position.
John McDermott, Fitter at the Bristol Contract, said, "Danny has been willing and able to assist me with the servicing and maintenance of our plant and equipment in particular Danny has picked up the servicing and repair of the small machines."
Danny Giles said he considers himself lucky to of been able to demonstrate his ability to be punctual and hard working to Quadron through the Future Jobs Fund scheme, he adds "I am also keen to take carry out any further training that is available and I hopefully have a long term future with Quadron."
