Quadron and West Midlands Police thwart thieves!

The Great Pumpkin Robbery!

Quadron and West Midlands Police came to the rescue of the Friends of Ward End Park after thieves stole pumpkins from their allotment gardens two weeks before Halloween

The allotments, which are situated within Ward End Park, are predominately used by the Friends of Ward End as an educational tool to encourage local school children from Ward End Primary School to grow their own vegetables and other horticultural produce. One of the Friends, Don Bates, stated that "the children loved to work on the allotments and it was such a joy to behold." So you can imagine the children's disappointment when the "fruits of their labour" disappeared overnight.

However, there were smiles all around on the faces of Laaibah Iqbbal, Ibrahim Ajmal, Alishba Amber and Adam Munir when they were presented with replacement pumpkins which were donated by Quadron Services Limited and the West Midlands Police.
