Enthusiastic employees benefit from industry experienced tutors and learn how pruning practices have evolved with advances in science, technology and tools. The course illustrates the importance of pruning shrubs at the right time of the year to maintain plant health and vigour. Participants are taught when, why and how to prune and have the opportunity to practice different types of pruning cuts on a large variety of border shrubs located within the grounds of the college. The courses are also intended to strengthen individual's plant knowledge and ability to identify different shrubs and plants.
