Situated in the newly refurbished suburb of Attwood Green, these parks are the result of extensive consultation with residents, Optima Community Association and Birmingham City Council and have already won the National Landscape Institute Award in 2008 for innovative design.
In the short time since taking over the operation of this contract, Quadron has been pleased to work with local interest groups, the Council and Optima to sponsor and assist with community events in the parks.
The Parks are excellent examples of a local park development which provides facilities for both passive and active recreation, with formal games areas as well as grassland for informal play. In addition there are trees, shrubs and flower beds, hard and soft landscaping and communal areas to strike a fine balance between enhancing the site's visual appeal and biodiversity value and encouraging community use.
Quadron hopes that its focus on community engagement in addition to high horticultural standards will continue to increase the appeal of the parks year on year.
